![Oh heeeey Monday one week before kids are back in school💆🏼♀️😅...I don’t know about you, but WOW, have I been feeling a little extra yuck lately. Over the past week I took some time to stop and reflect a bit on why that might be(?) and concluded all the good things[fun sun beach friends family vacation kids new puppy] have me moving twice as much as I normally do. And for me, a lot more movement = a LOT more hunger.
Hunger is a BEAST for me😬(who can relate?!) There is typically a very small window where I can remain calm, think like an adult, prepare food, eat while sitting down and breathing, and then move on with my day. Over the past few weeks I have let my hunger get the best of me way too many times. It’s when I hangry justify every single food in my sight while preparing my meals. Or forgo making a meal altogether and dive into a bag of chips and hummus then call it dinner🥵🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️.
So here’s what I’m going to do to save myself TODAY and I’d love to invite you to join in too if you’re on the same page:
1. Eat filling, balanced meals
2. Sit down to eat(no standing!)
3. Plan all meals
4. Prepare meals one day ahead if needed
5. Eat before hangry
6. Stop eating and drinking at 8pm (12 hour fast)

I did it. 10 years ago I looked in the mirror and told myself, out loud, I was done. Done with constantly thinking about food. Done with starving then binging. Done with using exercise as punishment. Done with questioning if my jeans would fit each day. Done with mental illness. Done with unbalanced hormones. Done with SO MANY prescription drugs and their side effects. Done👊✌️👋

Natures carbohydrates are powerful medicine. They are not simply calories. Like so many others, I needed get back to myself and learn how to eat intuitively. Giving myself permission to eat anything I wanted, whenever(with no guilt!), made a significant impact, but eventually reached a point when I wanted to FEEL amazing. So I began swapping carbs as much as possible. .
Wow wow wow. 10 years wearing the same size, only thinking about food when hungry or creating, feeling stronger, healthier and happier than ever😅AND never counting a thing or stepping on a scale. And the best part?? YUMMY 🤤!!!!
